Provincial Minister Malik Sohaib Bharth visits Bhalwal to support families of deceased sanitary workers, providing financial aid, medical support, and emphasizing safety measures for essential workers.

Provincial Minister for Communications, Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth, recently visited Bhalwal to meet with the families of sanitary workers who tragically lost their lives while on duty. The minister expressed his condolences for the lives lost and on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, presented Rs1 million cheques to the children of the deceased workers. Additionally, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif had previously sent Rs3 million cheques to the widows of the deceased workers, showing the government's commitment to supporting the affected families.

Minister Bharth also directed the authorities to expedite the process of employing the children of the deceased workers, ensuring that they receive necessary support. He emphasized the importance of providing pensions and other related benefits to the families of the deceased workers, highlighting the government's dedication to assisting those in need.

During the visit, it was reported that the injured sanitary worker had recovered and been discharged from the hospital. Minister Bharth announced that the government would cover the medical expenses for the treatment of a five-year-old child of the injured worker who was suffering from a heart condition, showcasing the government's commitment to the well-being of its citizens.

Furthermore, Minister Bharth instructed deputy commissioners to oversee the provision and proper utilization of protective gear for all sanitary workers in municipal committees, prioritizing the safety and health of these essential workers.

The minister, along with MNA Dr. Mukhtiar Bharth, MPA Mansoor Sandhu, Commissioner Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti, and Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Aurangzeb Haider Khan, reiterated the government's pledge to provide continuous support and assistance to the families of those who had lost their lives while serving their communities.
