The sixth meeting of the Sub-Cabinet Committee on Law and Order took place in Lahore, with Provincial Minister for Health Khawaja Salman Rafique leading the session. The meeting, attended by key officials such as Home Secretary Noor-ul-Amin Mengal and Additional IG Riaz Nazir Gara, primarily focused on assessing the law and order situation in the province, discussing security arrangements for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha festival, and deliberating on the release of prisoners on parole.

One of the significant decisions made during the meeting was granting Deputy Commissioners the authority to appoint Price Control Magistrates in various districts. Furthermore, approval was given for the release of three prisoners on parole. The committee also sanctioned measures to combat banned organizations involved in the illicit collection of sacrificial hides during Eid-ul-Azha under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique underscored the government's duty to uphold peace and order throughout the province. He reaffirmed the administration's dedication to cracking down on drug traffickers, illegal kite-making facilities, and individuals engaged in electricity theft.
