Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz of Punjab mandates price reduction banners at roti shops to ensure transparency, compliance, and affordability for consumers. Deadline set for compliance.

In a bid to ensure transparency and compliance with the reduced prices of roti and naan, Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has issued a directive to have price reduction banners displayed outside every roti shop in the province.

The directive, approved by Maryam Nawaz, includes the design and content of the banners, clearly indicating the reduced prices. The implementation of this directive is expected within the next 24 hours, with a deadline set for April 18 for all roti shops to have the banners prominently displayed.

The banners are required to feature the name of the respective deputy commissioner and the district's complaint number for accountability purposes. Additionally, images of the banners are to be submitted to the Chief Minister's office for further dissemination across Punjab.

This move aims to ensure that consumers are informed about the reduced prices and to hold accountable those who fail to comply with the directive. By making the prices transparent and easily accessible, the government seeks to promote fairness and affordability in the sale of roti and naan across the province.
