Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman has mandated a three-month timeline for all departments, commissioners, and deputy commissioners to boost governance and service delivery through Information Technology (IT) utilization in the province. During a recent meeting, he emphasized the importance of enhancing public services and ensuring their easy online accessibility.

CS Zaman highlighted the successful implementation of E-Filing and Office Automation System (E-FOAS) and an e-procurement regime, which have led to increased transparency and innovation due to paperless operations. He stressed the necessity of adopting technology to improve departmental efficiency, reduce costs, and combat corruption by moving away from traditional file systems.

The Chief Secretary urged officers to diligently address public grievances and issued directives to expedite the resolution of pending pension cases and departmental inquiries within departments.
