The Compensation Award Committee of Punjab Police approves additional funds for treating injured officers, emphasizing comprehensive medical care and commitment to police welfare.

Recently, the Compensation Award Committee of the Welfare Branch held a crucial meeting at the Central Police Office in Lahore, as per the directives of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. The primary agenda of the meeting was to address the medical needs of police personnel who were injured while on duty.

During the meeting, an additional Rs 1 million was approved for the treatment of these brave officers. The allocated funds were distributed as follows: Rs 0.2 million each for Constable Muhammad Ali, Constable Muhammad Shabbir Ahmed, Head Constable Imtiaz Hussain, Constable Adeel Shaukat, and Constable Muhammad Asif from various police departments across Punjab.

Inspector General Punjab reiterated the department's unwavering commitment to supporting officers who sustain injuries during duty-related incidents, especially encounters with criminals. He stressed the importance of comprehensive measures to ensure the optimal treatment of injured personnel, with Regional Police Officers (RPOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs) taking personal responsibility for overseeing the medical welfare of these courageous individuals.

The decision to allocate additional funds for the treatment of injured police personnel in Punjab reflects the department's dedication to the well-being of its officers.
