Rescue-1122 recently organized a comprehensive training and exercise program at district and tehsil government hospitals to boost readiness for emergency situations. Led by District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Iqbal, the initiative aimed to equip hospital staff, doctors, patients, and families with the necessary skills to respond effectively to crises like fires and earthquakes.

During the mock exercise held at hospitals including Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital (AIMTH), Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Daska, and Sambrial, participants engaged in scenarios focusing on fire control techniques and safe building evacuations. The collaboration between Rescue-1122 and hospital administrations was highlighted as a crucial aspect of the training.

Dr. Naeem Butt, overseeing the fire safety team at AIMTH, praised the program, underlining the importance of preparedness for unforeseen emergencies. He emphasized the need for regular mock exercises to maintain readiness for any potential crisis.

Sohail Anjum Butt, the Medical Superintendent at AIMTH, echoed Dr. Naeem's sentiments, suggesting that similar drills should be conducted in all government hospitals across the district to enhance public awareness.

Engineer Naveed Iqbal, the District Emergency Officer, stressed the vital role of first aid in saving lives during emergencies.
