Rescue 1122 in Sindh is enhancing emergency response with a new DHQ facility in Sehwan and satellite stations for swift assistance in various emergencies.

The Rescue 1122 is on a mission to enhance emergency response services in Sindh by establishing a new District Head Quarter (DHQ) facility in Sehwan. This facility will be dedicated to handling a wide range of emergencies, including floods, fires, medical crises, earthquakes, and road accidents. With the acquisition of the necessary land completed, construction is scheduled to commence shortly, with a firm commitment to completing the project within 10 months.

Rescue 1122 has been a lifeline during critical situations, especially in health-related emergencies and road accidents. The Sindh government has already initiated Emergency Rescue 1122 Services and is working towards extending its coverage throughout the province to effectively address emergency scenarios.

Presently, Rescue 1122 Services are operational in five divisional headquarters in Karachi, Larkana, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Mirpur Khas, also functioning as district offices. Additional Emergency Rescue 1122 Facilities are nearing completion in districts like Matiari, Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad, and others.

Moreover, the government has established Emergency Rescue 1122 Satellite stations along the Indus highway and N-5 to swiftly respond to unforeseen emergencies on highways. These satellite stations, strategically located in remote areas, are equipped to manage flood, fire, water, and highway rescue operations, along with medical emergencies and road accidents.

Each satellite station is strategically positioned within a 50-kilometer radius of another satellite station or a district headquarters to ensure easy access for the public. The dedicated staff at these stations, including paramedics in ambulances, undergo rigorous six months of training at the Rescue 1122 training academy in Lahore to efficiently handle medical emergencies and offer essential aid to patients before transferring them to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

The expansion of Rescue 1122 services in Sindh signifies a significant step towards bolstering emergency response capabilities across the province. With the upcoming DHQ facility in Sehwan and the establishment of additional satellite stations, the safety and well-being of the public during emergencies are being prioritized. This proactive approach by the government and Rescue 1122 is poised to make a positive impact on the overall emergency management system in Sindh.
