Rescue 1122 in Dera Ismail Khan excels in May operations

Rescue 1122 in Dera Ismail Khan, a vital emergency response service, has recently disclosed its performance report for the month of May. This report sheds light on the commendable efforts and efficiency of the rescue team in handling various emergencies.

During May, Rescue 1122 swiftly responded to 777 emergencies, showcasing an impressive average response time of seven minutes. The team provided initial medical aid to 752 individuals and efficiently transported them to hospitals when necessary. The emergencies attended to encompassed a wide range of incidents, including medical cases, road traffic accidents, fires, violence-related incidents, drownings, building collapses, and search and rescue operations.

Despite the high number of emergencies attended, it is noteworthy that out of the 62,092 calls received, a significant portion of 46,303 turned out to be false or irrelevant. This highlights the importance of accurate reporting during emergencies to ensure resources are utilized effectively.

Moreover, Rescue 1122 managed several cases requiring referrals, assisting a total of 77 patients. Notably, 72 patients received treatment within the district, while five were transferred to hospitals in major cities like Islamabad, Peshawar, and Multan for specialized care.
