Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in Faisalabad reports a record number of rescues in April 2024, highlighting the importance of swift emergency response services in safeguarding the community and saving lives.

Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in Faisalabad has reported a significant number of rescues during April 2024. According to District Emergency Officer Zafar Iqbal, a total of 11,190 individuals were rescued from various emergencies in the region. This commendable effort was a result of responding to 11,758 distress calls received by Rescue 1122 in the past month.

The breakdown of the calls indicated that 2,955 were related to road traffic accidents, 7,569 to medical emergencies, 311 to crimes, 181 to fire incidents, 11 to drowning cases, 4 to building collapses, 1 to a cylinder blast, and 726 miscellaneous calls. The prompt response from Rescue 1122 teams led to the successful rescue of the individuals in need. Out of the total rescued, 5,530 victims received first aid on the spot, while 5,177 were transported to various hospitals for further treatment.

During a meeting chaired by District Emergency Officer Zafar Iqbal, Incharge Control Room Ghulam Shabbir provided insights into the performance of the rescue teams. Emergency Officer (Operations) Engineer Tariq Mehmood and other officials were also present during the meeting, highlighting the coordinated efforts that led to the successful outcomes.
