The recent surge in criminal activities in Islamabad, including robberies, carjackings, and thefts, highlights the urgent need for improved security measures to ensure citizen safety.

Over the past week, Islamabad has witnessed a disturbing surge in criminal activities, with robbers, burglars, and carjackers wreaking havoc across various localities of the heavily guarded federal capital. According to recent data, a staggering number of thefts and snatchings have been reported, including the theft of over 47 mobile phones and 89 vehicles.

The city police have been grappling with a wave of criminal incidents, having registered 26 cases of robbery and snatching at gunpoint. The areas most affected by these criminal activities include Shehzad Town, Industrial Area, Aabpara, Khanna, Karachi Company, Margalla, and Sabzi Mandi police stations.

Auto thieves have been particularly active, with a total of 89 vehicles stolen, comprising 15 cars and 74 motorbikes. The thefts have been distributed across different police station jurisdictions, with Aabpara, Industrial Area, Shehzad Town, Secretariat, and Kohsar stations bearing the brunt of the criminal activities.

Reports indicate that armed individuals have been involved in snatching mobile phones, while robbers have targeted multiple locations. The situation remains grim, with incidents of carjacking, mobile phone snatching, and vehicle thefts continuing unabated.
