Rubina Khalid oversees BISP payment operations in Rawalpindi

The Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Rubina Khalid, recently visited the BISP Payment Campsite in Dhoke Kashmirian, Rawalpindi, to oversee the payment operations firsthand. The visit aimed to ensure the smooth disbursement of stipends under the Benazir Kafaalat initiative to female beneficiaries. Khalid interacted with the beneficiaries, addressing their concerns about the slow payment process and advising them to verify the full stipend amount of Rs. 10,500 and always request a bank receipt.

After her visit, Khalid convened a meeting with BISP Director Generals and bank representatives to discuss improving the payment process. She emphasized the program's commitment to beneficiary welfare and the need for an efficient disbursement system to prevent delays. Khalid stressed the importance of treating beneficiaries respectfully and avoiding any complications during stipend distribution.

Expressing concern over the lack of Point of Sale (POS) agents and slow cash disbursement, Khalid instructed senior management to address these issues urgently with partner banks. The goal is to ensure beneficiaries face no hardships during the payment process, prioritizing a smooth and hassle-free experience for all.
