Rubina Khalid Warns BISP Beneficiaries Against Scams

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is a vital initiative aimed at providing financial assistance to those in need. Recently, Chairperson Rubina Khalid has issued a warning to all BISP beneficiaries to be cautious of potential scams targeting them. She stressed the importance of only trusting messages from the official project number, '8171', and advised against responding to any other numbers that could be fraudulent.

During a visit to the BISP payment centers in Peshawar, Khalid emphasized the significance of collecting quarterly stipends from designated centers. Under the Benazir Kafaalat scheme, beneficiaries are entitled to receive Rs 10,500, and Khalid urged women to ensure they receive the full amount and obtain a bank receipt for verification. In case of any concerns or issues, beneficiaries were encouraged to reach out to the BISP helpline at 080026477.

Chairperson Khalid personally inspected the payment centers at Tamash Stadium and the UC20 office in Peshawar to oversee the distribution process. She instructed the staff to prioritize payments for elderly women and those with young children, emphasizing the importance of providing clear information and maintaining a respectful environment at the centers.

In addition, Khalid reminded the staff of their responsibility to act honestly and treat beneficiaries with respect and courtesy. She made it clear that any form of misconduct would not be tolerated, highlighting the necessity of professionalism and integrity in serving the deserving women.
