The Enforcement Squad of Rawalpindi Development Authority seals Chinese construction projects in Rawalpindi due to security concerns raised by Chinese residents, emphasizing the importance of adhering to security protocols and cooperation with local authorities.

Recently, the Enforcement Squad of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) took action by sealing the office of a Chinese construction company and its under-construction projects in the Eighteen Housing Project in Rawalpindi. This decision was made in response to security concerns raised by the Ministry of Interior. The affected projects were situated at Plot No. F-006/B, Road 54 (Commercial), and Plot No. F-006/5 (Apartment). Prior notices had been issued to the CEOs of both the Chinese construction company and the local real estate company involved in these projects.

The security risks were brought to light by Chinese residents residing in the area who expressed feelings of insecurity due to the ongoing construction activities by the foreign company. It was noted that the company had proceeded with the projects without informing the relevant security agencies, prompting the RDA to take swift action in the interest of national security. As a result, the movement of Chinese residents within the private society has been restricted until a Security NOC is granted by the Punjab Government.

Addressing the security concerns, a meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner Office Rawalpindi to discuss the issue of Chinese nationals not adhering to government security protocols. The RDA Enforcement Squad, in collaboration with the Naseerabad Police Station, carried out the operation, with key team members from the RDA and police personnel actively involved.

The sealing of the Chinese construction projects in Rawalpindi underscores the importance of adhering to security protocols and regulations, especially in sensitive areas. This incident serves as a reminder of the significance of cooperation between foreign companies and local authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. Moving forward, it is crucial for all parties involved to prioritize security measures to prevent any potential risks or threats.
