Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is set to launch a new political party, reaching out to disenchanted PML-N members like Zaeem Qadri. Abbasi has submitted paperwork for party registration, following in the footsteps of other politicians establishing independent entities.

Former Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leader Zaeem Qadri is reportedly set to join Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's new political party post Eidul Fitr. Sources reveal that Abbasi plans to meet with Qadri in Islamabad after the religious festival. Following his decision to establish a fresh political entity, Abbasi has been reaching out to disenchanted PML-N members, including Qadri, to bolster his party's ranks.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, a disaffected PML-N figure, recently took steps to register his own political party by approaching the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). The former prime minister, who parted ways with PML-N due to internal disagreements, has formally submitted the necessary paperwork to the ECP for the party's registration.

In a candid discussion with journalists, Abbasi confirmed the completion of all required documentation for the new party's registration. Abbasi, who held the premiership from August 2017 to May 2018, is following the footsteps of other politicians like Jahangir Tareen and Pervez Khattak, who have also established their own political parties.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's intention to form a new political party has been evident in his public statements over the past year, reflecting his strained relationship with PML-N's leadership. As the political landscape in Pakistan continues to evolve, Abbasi's move signifies a growing trend of prominent figures branching out to create independent political entities.
