Sindh Chief Minister welcomes stranded Pakistani students from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and forms a committee to enhance medical education standards, demonstrating government's commitment to supporting students and improving education quality in the medical field.

Recently, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah extended a warm welcome to 205 Pakistani students who were stranded in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The Chief Minister not only greeted the students at Jinnah Terminal but also announced plans to bring back another group of 180 students, including six who were injured. This initiative comes as a relief to many families and students affected by the crisis.

The group of students, consisting of 150 males and 55 females, with a significant number from Karachi and other cities in Sindh, were met with reassurance from the Chief Minister. He emphasized the government's dedication to ensuring the seamless continuation of their education.

In response to the situation in Bishkek, a 25-member committee, led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, has been established. This committee aims to evaluate the standards of medical education, admission procedures, and the factors driving students to pursue education abroad. By assessing the quality of medical education and proposing recommendations for better coordination between public and private sectors in the medical field, the committee seeks to enhance the overall quality of medical education in the country.

Comprised of federal ministers, National Assembly members, and heads of medical universities and institutions, the committee will focus on addressing the challenges encountered by students studying medicine overseas. Through this collaborative effort, the government aims to improve the educational landscape for aspiring medical professionals.

The safe return of Pakistani students from Bishkek marks a significant step in ensuring their well-being and educational pursuits. With the formation of the committee to enhance medical education standards, the government demonstrates its commitment to supporting students and improving the quality of education in the medical field.
