Airport Manager Aftab Gillani Welcomes Pakistani Students Home

Amidst the recent violence in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek, 179 Pakistani students found themselves seeking refuge and safety. Fortunately, they were warmly welcomed back home at Islamabad International Airport by the airport manager, Aftab Gillani. This marks a significant step in the ongoing repatriation efforts for Pakistani students stranded in Kyrgyzstan.

According to Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, there are approximately 11,000 Pakistani students studying in Bishkek and another 6,000 in various cities across Kyrgyzstan. The government is actively working to ensure the safe return of all these students to Pakistan.

The students had been facing a challenging situation in Kyrgyzstan due to the unrest in the region. Many of them were unable to access basic necessities and were concerned about their safety. The Pakistani government, in coordination with relevant authorities, initiated the repatriation process to bring these students back home.
