Heavy rainfall in Chitral and Peshawar has led to severe consequences, with roads being swept away and traffic between the two cities coming to a standstill. The downpour resulted in a house being affected in Chitral, where a young girl was injured and subsequently taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

Authorities, including the Deputy Commissioner of Chitral, have been on high alert, with heavy machinery deployed to clear the roads and warnings issued to residents living near water bodies. Tourists have also been advised to avoid unnecessary travel due to the dangerous conditions.

The impact of the rain extended to various areas, with flooding reported in Chamarkhan Nala and road closures in Lower Chitral's Belpok village. The Meteorological Department has forecasted continued rainfall and snowfall in the region until April 15, with temperatures dropping significantly. The inclement weather has also disrupted electricity supply in many areas, with PESCO working to restore power to affected feeders.
