Karachi Weather Forecast: PMD Predicts Hot Day Ahead

Karachi, the bustling metropolis of Pakistan, is bracing itself for a day of hot and humid weather as per the forecast by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The city is expected to experience high temperatures ranging from 36°C to 38°C, coupled with a humidity level of 69%. Additionally, there is a chance of rain accompanied by thunder in certain areas of Karachi and its suburbs within the next 24 hours.

The PMD has highlighted that thunderstorms may develop in the city post 1pm due to low air pressure, which will also hinder the usual sea breeze. A weather expert has pointed out the presence of low pressure in the Arabian Sea near the Gujarat state of India, hinting at a possibility of rain in various parts of Sindh, including Karachi.

Recent rainfall in Karachi provided temporary relief from the scorching heat, although the humidity persisted. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz foresees more showers in the city in the coming days, which could slightly alleviate the heat. Despite this, temperatures are likely to remain high, ranging between 37°C to 38°C, with a slight chance of decrease.

The ongoing heatwave is expected to persist until the dissipation of the low air pressure, but the return of sea breezes to Karachi is anticipated by tomorrow evening. Specific areas such as Central, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Surjani, Nazimabad, and Gadap are expected to witness heavy rainfall during the upcoming spell.

As Karachi prepares for a day of sweltering conditions followed by potential rainfall, residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to combat the heat. The fluctuating weather patterns serve as a reminder of the importance of staying informed and prepared for any meteorological changes that may occur.
