Karachi experienced unexpected weather changes during Eid ul Adha, with light drizzle and potential heatwave warnings. Stay informed and prepared for fluctuating weather patterns.

On the first day of Eid ul Adha, Karachi experienced unexpected weather changes, with light drizzle reported in various areas such as Clifton, Defence Housing Authority (DHA), and nearby regions. This sudden precipitation was linked to the Somalian Thrust according to a local weather forecast website. The forecast indicates that sea clouds will continue to be active for the next 36 hours, especially during the night and morning hours.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department's (PMD) Early Warning Center had initially anticipated hot and humid weather throughout Eid ul Adha in Karachi. Maximum temperatures are projected to range between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels varying from 50 to 60%. The PMD also highlighted the likelihood of westerly or evening sea breezes between morning and afternoon hours. Conversely, other parts of the province are expected to endure hot to extremely hot weather conditions.

There is a possibility of isolated to widespread thunderstorms in specific areas of the Tharparkar district. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz, on June 6, mentioned that Karachi will witness partly cloudy and windy conditions for the next 10 days. Furthermore, there is a cautionary note about a potential heatwave in upper and central Sindh starting in the upcoming week.

The fluctuating weather patterns in Karachi during Eid ul Adha serve as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of climate changes. It is essential for residents to stay informed about weather forecasts and be prepared for sudden shifts in conditions. As we navigate through these variations, it is crucial to prioritize safety and well-being, especially during times of potential extreme weather events.
