Karachi experiences relief from extreme heat as sea breeze returns, bringing hope for cooler days ahead with anticipation of monsoon rains. Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts hot and humid weather with potential thunderstorms in Sindh districts.

Karachi, the bustling metropolis on the coast of Pakistan, is currently experiencing a welcome relief from the scorching heat that has been gripping the city. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that the sea breeze has made a comeback, blowing at a gentle 18 km per hour. This change in weather comes after a period of extreme temperatures that had residents seeking shelter from the relentless sun.

Despite the return of the sea breeze, Karachi is still expected to have hot and humid weather in the next 24 hours. Maximum temperatures are forecasted to range between 35°C and 37°C, with humidity levels hovering around 70%. The minimum temperature recorded in the past day was 32°C, indicating that the nights are also warm and muggy.

The recent hot and humid conditions in Karachi were attributed to low air pressure over the Arabian Sea. However, the situation is anticipated to shift soon with the sea breeze back in action. This change could bring sea clouds to the city, potentially leading to light drizzles during the night and early morning in the coming days. While no rain is expected today, meteorologists are hopeful for the onset of monsoon rains later this week, offering a glimmer of hope to Karachi's residents for relief from the oppressive heat.

Yesterday, the Meteorological Office had predicted hot and humid weather for Karachi in the next three days. Furthermore, various parts of Sindh, including Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Thatta, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Dadu, and Kashmore districts, are also bracing for similar conditions. Thunderstorms and rain are likely in these areas within the next 48 hours, providing a mixed forecast for the region.

As Karachi welcomes the return of the sea breeze, residents can look forward to a slight reprieve from the intense heat that has been dominating the city. While the weather remains hot and humid, the prospect of sea clouds and potential drizzles offers a glimmer of hope for cooler days ahead. With the anticipation of monsoon rains on the horizon, Karachi and its surrounding areas may soon experience a much-needed respite from the sweltering conditions.
