Following intermittent rainfall in Multan, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) sprang into action to address potential drainage issues. Managing Director Chaudhary Muhammad Danish issued directives to ensure the efficient functioning of sewerage and disposal stations. Teams and machinery were mobilized in the field, with standby generators kept operational. WASA was instructed to run all disposal stations at full capacity to facilitate the complete drainage of rainwater. Officials were mandated to adhere to standard operating procedures for draining water from pond areas, with a particular focus on low-lying regions.

Efforts by WASA proved effective, as most areas were successfully cleared of rainwater post heavy downpours during the Eid holidays. A camp office was set up at Chungi No. 9 disposal station to oversee operations. The agency's prompt response and dedication were acknowledged by MD WASA, emphasizing the importance of timely completion of drainage operations to prevent waterlogging.

Notable rainfall measurements included 14 mm at Kari Jamandan disposal station, and 12 mm each at Chungi No. 9 and Old Shujabad disposal stations. WASA ensured the underpass remained clear during the rain, with additional instructions issued to expedite drainage processes in low-lying zones. Chaudhry Danish urged all personnel to stay vigilant in anticipation of further rainfall, underscoring the importance of proactive measures to mitigate potential flooding risks.
