Director General Abdul Wahab Soomro ensures improved services and facilities for Pakistani Hajj pilgrims, emphasizing heatstroke precautions and special arrangements for a smoother pilgrimage experience.

Director General & Head of Pakistan Hajj Mission Abdul Wahab Soomro has emphasized the importance of being cautious about heatstroke during the upcoming Hajj season. He has assured Pakistani pilgrims that this year, they will receive improved services and additional facilities compared to previous years.

With the Hajj season overlapping with the summer months, pilgrims are advised to prepare for high temperatures and humidity. To combat the challenges of extreme heat, it is vital for pilgrims to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and avoiding excessive consumption of caffeine and sugary drinks.

Pilgrims are encouraged to wear loose-fitting, lightweight, and light-colored clothing to stay cool. It is also recommended to protect the head and face with a hat or umbrella and regularly apply sunscreen to prevent sunburn.

The 'Pak Hajj App' is being utilized for online monitoring of all Hajj-related activities, with over 70,000 intending Pakistani Hajj pilgrims already registered. The government has arranged accommodations in Makkah and Madina to facilitate the pilgrims, with all Pakistani pilgrims under the government Hajj scheme being provided residence at 'Markazaiya' in Madina.

Special air-conditioned transport facilities have been organized for pilgrims in Makkah Mukaramah. The government is overseeing the arrival of pilgrims in Madina and Makkah, with round-the-clock medical facilities available, including 18 ambulances operating in two shifts.

More than 1400 volunteers, including medical staff, are supporting pilgrims with health issues and other requirements. Training programs have been conducted for hujjaj, and train facilities are being provided for pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia on the government scheme in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

This year's Hajj arrangements have been significantly enhanced, with the government offering free mobile SIMs with roaming internet packages to Pakistani pilgrims. Additionally, pilgrims will receive abayas featuring the Pakistani flag and 13 Kg suitcases.

As Pakistani pilgrims prepare for the upcoming Hajj season, they can rest assured that the government has taken proactive measures to ensure their safety and comfort. With improved services, enhanced facilities, and a focus on health and well-being, this year's pilgrimage promises to be a smoother and more enriching experience for all participants.
