The General Directorate of Passports, led by Major General Dr. Saleh bin Saad Al-Murabba, enhances Umrah services with advanced technology and strict enforcement of Hajj regulations to ensure pilgrim safety and smooth activities.
The General Directorate of Passports is continuously improving its services to assist pilgrims during Umrah, as highlighted by Major General Dr. Saleh bin Saad Al-Murabba, the Commander of Passports Forces for Umrah. Efforts include the use of mobile devices, security cameras, verification tools, and real-time translation devices at various entry points to streamline the process for pilgrims.
Major General Dr. Saleh bin Saad Al-Murabba also emphasized the strict actions taken by the administrative seasonal committees to combat violations of Hajj regulations. Transporters caught carrying individuals without valid Hajj permits will face severe penalties, such as imprisonment for up to six months and fines up to SAR 50,000, with increasing fines based on the number of violators.
During a press conference at the Unified Security Operations Center (911) in Makkah, Major General Dr. Saleh bin Saad Al-Murabba reiterated the commitment to enforcing regulations and ensuring the smooth functioning of Hajj activities for the years 1445-2024.
