A meeting was convened by Deputy Commissioner Zaheer Anwar Jappa at his office to assess the measures taken to curb incidents of timber theft and safeguard Lal Sohanra National Park. The meeting, attended by key officials including ASP Bahawalpur Saddar Babar Ali and Conservator of Forests Khalid Javaid Bhutta, focused on enhancing efforts to protect the park's valuable resources.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Jappa stressed the importance of implementing robust strategies to deter timber theft and ensure the preservation of the forest in Lal Sohanra National Park. He highlighted the significance of increasing patrols by the Forest Department and initiating legal action, such as filing FIRs, against individuals involved in illegal logging activities.

Additionally, Deputy Commissioner Jappa proposed the removal of sawing machines near the forests and the installation of signage prohibiting tobacco consumption to mitigate fire risks and enhance safety within the park.
