Federal Ministers Mohsin Naqvi and Khawaja Muhammad Asif inspect Sialkot Airport, addressing long immigration wait times and enhancing passenger experience during the runway extension project closure.

Federal Ministers Mohsin Naqvi and Khawaja Muhammad Asif recently conducted a thorough inspection at Sialkot Airport, spending 2 hours reviewing the facilities at the arrival and departure terminals. During their visit, they expressed dissatisfaction with the current facilities available for passengers traveling abroad and promptly issued orders to enhance the overall passenger experience.

One of the key concerns highlighted by the ministers was the extended wait times for immigration, with passengers sometimes waiting up to 60 minutes. To address this issue, they instructed authorities to increase the number of immigration counters to expedite the process and reduce wait times significantly. This enhancement is set to be completed during the 15-day closure of the airport for a runway extension project.

Furthermore, the ministers emphasized the importance of simplifying the passenger search process by consolidating checks by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Customs, and Airport Security Force (ASF) at a single location. Once the airport reopens, 12 immigration counters will be operational to streamline the immigration process and improve efficiency.

As the airport undergoes temporary closure for the runway extension project, the focus will be on enhancing facilities and services for passengers. The ultimate goal is to provide maximum comfort and convenience to all travelers passing through Sialkot Airport.

In conclusion, the directives issued by Federal Ministers Mohsin Naqvi and Khawaja Muhammad Asif underscore a commitment to improving the overall passenger experience at Sialkot Airport. By prioritizing efficiency and convenience, the authorities aim to elevate the standards of service delivery and ensure a seamless travel experience for all passengers.
