Ayub Teaching Hospital excels in Eid emergency care

Ayub Teaching Hospital MTI Abbottabad recently released a comprehensive report detailing the emergency services offered during the three-day Eid period. The hospital, known for its exceptional medical care, attended to a total of 5,081 patients in need of urgent treatment.

During this time, the hospital's emergency department handled 37 Medico-Legal Cases (MLC) and provided care to 165 individuals involved in road traffic accidents. Various departments, including gynecology, orthopedics, cardiology, ICU, surgery, ENT, pediatrics medicine, pediatrics surgery, medical, dental, eye, radiology, dialysis, and pathology, operated at full capacity to cater to the medical needs of the community.

Specifically, the gynecology emergency department treated 325 patients, the dialysis unit conducted 54 sessions, and 76 emergency surgeries were successfully performed. The hospital also attended to 11 gunshot victims, highlighting the critical role it plays in emergency medical care.

Throughout Eid-ul-Azha, approximately 444 patients were admitted to different wards for further treatment and care. The hospital's proactive approach in preparing for the holiday ensured that all necessary resources, including doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, and administrative teams, were readily available to provide quality medical services.
