DSP and Son Arrested in Robbery Involving Police Vehicle

In a shocking turn of events, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) from the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) and his son have been arrested in relation to a robbery that took place at a pan shop in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The incident came to light after a video of the robbery, involving a police vehicle, went viral on social media, leading to swift action by the authorities.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the AVCC disclosed that the police vehicle seen in the video belonged to DSP Legal Zafar Javed. Following a complaint from the pan shop owner, Shahzaib, a formal robbery case was registered. The police have already seized the vehicle used during the crime and are currently working to identify the other individuals involved in the robbery.

During the robbery, unidentified persons in plain clothes arrived at the pan shop in a police vehicle, carried out the theft, and fled the scene rapidly. CCTV footage capturing the entire incident has been released to the public, aiding in the investigation process.

Shahzaib, the shopkeeper, reported a loss of more than 70,000 rupees as a result of the robbery. He also mentioned that the same group had targeted his shop previously on June 2nd, indicating a pattern of criminal activity.
