GEPCO Officers Arrested for Fake Billing Scam

In a recent development, several officers and employees of Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) have been arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on charges of involvement in making fake billing and bogus entries. The FIA presented the accused before the court, which approved a two-day physical remand for further investigation.

The arrested individuals include five revenue officers, an assistant manager, additional managers, six divisional account officers, and five commercial assistants and employees. The FIA had initiated a case against these GEPCO officers and employees for their alleged involvement in fraudulent activities.
