Cleric Arrested for Assaulting Student in Punjab

In a disturbing incident in Punjab's Qila Sondha Singh, a cleric named Qari Ikram was arrested for sexually assaulting a young student under his guidance. Qari Ikram, who teaches Qur'an memorization to children at a local mosque, lured the victim to his living quarters within the mosque premises where the assault occurred.

Upon learning about the assault, the Hujra Shah Muqeem police acted swiftly, apprehending Qari Ikram and initiating legal proceedings against him. The District Police Officer (DPO) of Okara has stressed a zero-tolerance approach towards child abuse and sexual violence, ensuring that perpetrators face severe consequences for their actions.
