An individual involved in human trafficking was recently brought before the Special Central Immigration Court in Peshawar. The court has taken a strict stance by placing the alleged perpetrator, Shahid, in the custody of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for a two-day physical remand.

According to reports, the accused, Shahid, was allegedly part of a scheme to traffic four individuals to Europe through Iran. However, this illegal attempt was foiled when Iranian border authorities intercepted the group and sent them back to Pakistan. The FIA spokesperson disclosed that Shahid had taken Rs. 1.2 million from the victims under the guise of facilitating their illegal journey.

Following information provided by authorities in Tehran, Shahid was apprehended by the FIA. Furthermore, the agency has hinted at investigating Shahid's brother, Zeeshan, who is also suspected to be involved in the illicit activities and may face arrest in the near future.

The case of human trafficking uncovered in Peshawar sheds light on the pervasive issue of trafficking and the efforts being made to combat it. It serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and cooperation among international authorities to prevent such crimes and protect vulnerable individuals from exploitation.
