Iesco reports peak electricity demand just below allocated quota, ensuring stable supply with zero load shedding. Muhammad Aslam Khan confirms no electricity shortfall.

Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) recently reported a peak electricity demand of 1,997 megawatts (MW) at 06:00 pm on Sunday. This demand was just below the allocated quota of 2,100 MW from the national grid system. The Chief Engineer Operation Director, Muhammad Aslam Khan, has confirmed that there is currently no electricity shortfall in Iesco. Consequently, zero load management measures are being implemented across all six circles, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Electricity demand refers to the amount of electrical power required by consumers at a specific time. In the case of Iesco, the demand reached 1,997 MW, indicating the total power needed by customers connected to the Iesco grid. The allocated quota of 2,100 MW signifies the maximum amount of electricity that Iesco can draw from the national grid system to meet consumer needs.

The current situation at Iesco reflects a stable electricity supply without any shortages. This ensures that consumers receive uninterrupted power, leading to zero load shedding in all operational areas. The efficient management of electricity demand and supply is crucial for maintaining a reliable power supply for residents and businesses in the region.
