Jamaat-e-Islami leads Gaza solidarity march in Karachi

The 'Gaza Million March' organized by Jamaat-e-Islami in Karachi brought together a diverse crowd on Shahrah-e-Faisal to show support for Palestinian Muslims and Hamas. This event was a response to perceived actions by the US and Israel, particularly condemning Israel's attacks in Rafah and the ongoing violence in Gaza.

Despite the intense heat, men, women, children, the elderly, and youth from various backgrounds joined the march, which started at Baloch Jason Tower and extended to the Nursery bus stop. The participants maintained order by following designated lanes for men and women, making it one of the largest protests witnessed in Karachi.

Groups arrived using different modes of transportation, and Al-Khidmat Karachi provided medical assistance through camps and mobile dispensaries. The event featured speeches by Jamaat-e-Islami leaders on a stage above the Nursery bus stop, emphasizing the importance of standing with the people of Gaza.

Symbolic gestures, like carrying replicas of Palestinian children's bodies, highlighted the suffering of Gaza's youngest victims. Noteworthy was the participation of Karachi's Christian community, showing unity across diverse groups in support of Palestinian solidarity.
