KPT Staff College Renovation Inaugurated by Federal Minister

The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Staff College, established in 1979, recently underwent a significant renovation that was inaugurated by the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, and Chairman KPT Syedain Raza Zaidi. The renovation was a much-needed upgrade to the facilities of the college, aimed at enhancing the training experience for officers in line with international standards.

Minister Sheikh praised KPT for its dedication to providing top-notch training to personnel in the maritime industry. He commended the organization's proactive approach in preparing individuals for roles crucial to Pakistan's gateway. The Minister emphasized the potential for further improvement at KPT through collaborative efforts with various stakeholders.

During the inauguration event, Minister Sheikh distributed cash awards and certificates to outstanding students and teachers of KPT Schools for their exceptional performance in SSC exams. Chairman KPT expressed his satisfaction with the renovated Staff College and the overall performance of KPT schools. He lauded the efforts of general managers and their teams in achieving this milestone, highlighting KPT's longstanding commitment to serving the nation and the people of Karachi through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

These initiatives include supporting underprivileged students through school funding, operating a hospital for workers and nearby residents, maintaining a Fire Station equipped with modern facilities for Karachi, and actively participating in literary and social events. Minister Sheikh also acknowledged exemplary academic achievements by awarding cash prizes and certificates to students who excelled in their studies, along with their dedicated teachers.
