Rawalpindi is set to revolutionize its transportation system with the launch of the Electric Bus Service and maintenance of Metrobus tracks, led by Minister Bilal Akbar Khan.

Rawalpindi, a bustling city in Pakistan, is gearing up to launch an innovative solution to its transportation woes. The Rawalpindi Electric Bus Service is set to debut next year, offering residents a more efficient way to travel around the city. This initiative will establish six key routes, connecting areas such as Taxila, Wah Cantt, IJ Principal Road to Octori 26, and Daultala to Rawalpindi. The aim is to enhance commuting experiences and alleviate traffic congestion in the region.

In addition to the electric bus service, plans are in motion to conduct maintenance work on the existing Metrobus tracks. Scheduled from June to December this year, the repair efforts are part of a broader strategy to revamp the city's public transportation infrastructure. Provincial Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan has spearheaded these initiatives, underscoring the government's commitment to improving transportation and traffic management in Rawalpindi. Collaboration with national and provincial assembly members is ongoing, with local representatives actively participating in the review process of proposed routes.

Minister Khan has stressed the urgency of addressing the long-standing neglect of the Metrobus infrastructure, which has suffered from a lack of maintenance for nearly a decade. The repair work is slated to commence in June and conclude by December, promising not only enhanced transportation services but also signaling a dedication to sustainable and modern urban mobility solutions in Rawalpindi.

The upcoming introduction of the Rawalpindi Electric Bus Service and the planned maintenance of the Metrobus tracks mark significant steps towards improving transportation in Rawalpindi. These initiatives showcase a proactive approach by the government to tackle longstanding issues and provide residents with more efficient and sustainable mobility options. With these developments on the horizon, Rawalpindi is poised to experience a positive transformation in its public transportation system.
