Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) commences pre-Hajj operation with inaugural flight, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey for pilgrims. Dedicated support from PIA and Saudi authorities enhances the Hajj pilgrimage experience.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has initiated its pre-Hajj operation by launching the first Hajj flight, PK-717, from Lahore to Madinah. This marks the beginning of the journey for 329 Hajj pilgrims, with PIA implementing special measures to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free experience for the pilgrims.

The departure ceremony took place at Lahore Airport, where PIA's Chief Project Officer stressed the significance of including Pakistan and PIA in the prayers of the pilgrims. PIA has deployed dedicated teams to assist the pilgrims both in Pakistan and Madinah, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the Hajj journey.

Under the direct supervision of PIA's Chief Executive Officer, Air Vice Marshal Amir Hayat, the Hajj operation is operating smoothly. Apart from the flights originating from Lahore, a private airline has also facilitated the transportation of pilgrims from Karachi to Madinah, ensuring a seamless travel experience for all.

The government's Hajj operation, which commenced recently, is scheduled to run until June 9, with an estimated 68,000 pilgrims expected to undertake the journey to the Holy Hijaz through 259 Hajj flights. The Saudi authorities are overseeing the immigration procedures for Hajj pilgrims in Karachi as part of the Road to Makkah project.

The commencement of PIA's pre-Hajj operation signifies the beginning of a significant journey for numerous pilgrims embarking on the sacred pilgrimage. With meticulous planning and dedicated support from various entities, including PIA and the Saudi authorities, the pilgrims can look forward to a spiritually enriching and well-organized Hajj experience.
