The PITB reports overwhelming response to CMYI Bikes Portal with over 72,000 applications for motorcycles on installments. Deadline extended to accommodate high demand, with the Government of Punjab offering down payment assistance and easy installment plans.

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has reported a significant response to the Chief Minister's Youth Initiative (CMYI) Bikes Portal, which aims to provide motorcycles on installments to students. A total of 72,640 online applications were received, with 57,366 for petrol bikes and 15,274 for e-bikes.

The deadline for registration was initially set for April 29, 2024. However, due to the overwhelming number of applications, the deadline was extended to May 1, 2024, to accommodate more applicants. The Government of Punjab will assist with the down payment and offer bikes through an easy monthly installment plan.

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf highlighted the role of the PITB-established portal in facilitating online applications for bikes, emphasizing the support provided to students in need of transportation.
