Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif unveils the Shuhada Package to assist families of martyred officials, emphasizing support for civilian and law enforcement agencies. The package includes financial aid, housing allowance, education, and medical benefits.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif unveiled the Shuhada Package aimed at aiding the families of federal government officials who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The announcement was made during the prime minister's visit to the family of late Customs Inspector Syed Hasnain Ali Tirmizi, who was martyred in a recent firing incident in Dera Ismail Khan.

The Shuhada Package includes cash assistance, housing allowance, free education, and medical treatment. For instance, the family of a martyred sepoy is entitled to receive Rs 10 million cash assistance, Rs 13.5 million housing allowance, along with free education and medical care. Similarly, the family of a martyred customs inspector will receive Rs 15 million cash assistance, Rs 25 million housing allowance, and the same educational and medical benefits.

PM Sharif emphasized that the package extends to civilian officials, police, and law enforcement agencies, highlighting the importance of supporting those who risk their lives to safeguard the nation's interests. He expressed gratitude towards various entities, including the Army Chief, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, and law enforcement agencies, for their collaboration in combating smuggling activities.

In his interactions with the bereaved families, the prime minister displayed compassion towards the orphaned children, referring to them as the 'children of a hero.' He commended the late customs inspector for his dedication in combating smuggling, underscoring the significance of eradicating this illegal practice for the nation's economic stability.

PM Sharif's visit and the launch of the Shuhada Package were met with appreciation from the families of the martyred officials, who expressed gratitude for the government's support during their time of loss.
