Professor Ahsan Iqbal Empowering Pakistani Youth

The government, under the leadership of Federal Minister for Planning and Development Professor Ahsan Iqbal, is focused on empowering the youth of Pakistan through advanced education, digital training, and equal job opportunities. Recently, at the University of Narowal, laptops were distributed to students as part of the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme. Professor Iqbal expressed concerns about the 2018 elections, criticizing them as fraudulent and resulting in an incompetent government. However, he praised the current government for bringing stability, progress, and restoring economic ties with other countries.

The government's vision includes propelling Pakistan into the top ten global economies by its 100th anniversary by providing a digital platform for the youth. Significant funds have been allocated for higher education, with plans to establish universities in every district. Laptops are distributed based on merit, with options for installment payments for those who do not qualify on merit.

Professor Iqbal stressed the importance of research over degrees and encouraged students to prioritize it. He commended the University of Narowal for its contributions to social progress, women’s empowerment, and economic development. He also criticized the previous government for causing economic and social damage through rigged elections and misinformation on social media.
