Punjab Governor and Kyrgyzstan's Honorary Consul discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation, focusing on trade, education, and upcoming investment conference in Lahore.

The Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan, Mehr Kashif Younis, recently met with Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman at the Governor House in Lahore to discuss matters of mutual interest and enhance bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan. Also present at the meeting was Dr. Waqar Ullah Chaudhry, Advisor to the Kyrgyzstan Consulate.

Governor Rehman congratulated Mehr Kashif Younis on his appointment and expressed optimism about the role he would play in strengthening relations between the two countries, particularly in trade and education. He emphasized the significance of fostering closer ties, especially in trade and commerce, underscoring the untapped potential for cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Governor highlighted the importance of people-to-people contact in promoting bilateral cooperation and identified opportunities for collaboration in education, agriculture, and technology. He suggested the exchange of delegations in higher education as a means to enhance cooperation between the two nations.

Mehr Kashif Younis affirmed his dedication to utilizing his new position to enhance bilateral trade and economic relations. He announced the upcoming Pak-Kyrgyzstan Investment Conference in Lahore next month, aimed at boosting trade between the two countries.
