Karachi's District and Session Court has taken a significant step by issuing notices to parties involved in a plea to register a case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) leader, Rana Sanaullah. The plea was filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) lawyers, represented by Sindh's vice president, urging the court to take action against Sanaullah.

The plea specifically mentions that Rana Sanaullah's threatening remarks towards PTI's founder, Imran Khan, during an interview broadcasted on various media channels and social media platforms. The applicant has requested the court to direct the police to register a case against Sanaullah, with the station police and station head officer being named as parties in the plea.

Following the submission of the plea, the court has scheduled a hearing for May 20 and issued notices to the station police and station head officer in Malir for their response.
