CTP Rawalpindi Ensures Smooth Traffic in Murree

Murree, a popular hill station, is currently experiencing heavy traffic due to the influx of visitors. The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has implemented special arrangements to ensure a smooth traffic flow and a hassle-free experience for tourists.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Taimoor Khan reported that despite the narrow and two-way roads in Murree, traffic is currently moving smoothly. However, due to limited parking space, vehicles are being parked on one side of the road, particularly around GPO Chowk where high pedestrian traffic is causing congestion.

To maintain order and safety, tourists are urged to follow traffic rules. Traffic police officers are actively patrolling the area to enforce no-parking regulations and ensure a safe journey for everyone.

During Eid ul Fitr, over 700 police personnel were deployed to manage security and traffic in Murree. 260 traffic police officers were specifically assigned to regulate traffic flow, with additional pickets set up at 14 locations to enhance tourist safety and convenience. Moreover, six facilitation centers have been established in Murree to assist and guide tourists during the festive period.

The efforts of the City Traffic Police Rawalpindi in managing the heavy traffic in Murree have been commendable. By implementing special arrangements and deploying a significant number of police personnel, they have ensured the safety and convenience of visitors during this busy period. Tourists are reminded to cooperate with traffic regulations to help maintain a smooth flow of traffic in the picturesque hill station.
