Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar has issued a directive to the police department to create a detailed security plan for the upcoming Eid al-Adha 2024. The primary objective of this plan is to ensure the safety and protection of citizens and their properties during the festive occasion.

The security plan will include measures to enforce guidelines related to animal sacrifice, enhance overall security measures, and implement surveillance strategies. Minister Lanjar has stressed the importance of all registered welfare organizations, religious institutions, and relevant stakeholders following the code of conduct established by the Sindh government. Additionally, the plan will address the proper collection and transportation of animal hides post-sacrifice.

As part of the Eid al-Adha Security Plan, the Central Police Office's Central Command and Control Center will issue timely directives for implementation across all levels. This will involve monitoring suspicious activities and mitigating potential threats. The plan will also focus on the efficient utilization of zone-wise control rooms and wireless control rooms at police stations. Minister Lanjar has also mandated the preparation of a categorized list of mosques, prayer halls, open spaces for Eid prayers, and the deployment of police personnel, including commandos, as per the requirements.

Moreover, the security plan will establish covert surveillance teams at the police station level to monitor various locations such as shopping centers, crowded areas, cattle markets, parking lots, and Eid prayer venues. These measures aim to ensure the safety and security of citizens throughout the Eid al-Adha celebrations.

The proactive approach taken by Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar in directing the development of a comprehensive security plan for Eid al-Adha 2024 demonstrates the government's commitment to safeguarding the well-being of the public during this significant religious festival. By implementing stringent security measures and surveillance strategies, the authorities aim to create a secure environment for citizens to observe and celebrate Eid al-Adha peacefully.
