Tragic Incidents Unfold in Lahore and Mianwali

Two separate incidents in Lahore and Mianwali have captured attention due to their tragic nature.

In Lahore, a man named Asghar Sohail attempted suicide by setting himself on fire outside the Punjab Police Inspector General's office. Sohail, who suffered severe burn injuries, was rushed to Mayo Hospital in critical condition. Conflicting reports emerged regarding the incident, with some suggesting that Sohail tried to immolate himself after being stopped from entering the Central Police Office, while the police claimed he was halted while carrying documents near the IGP office.

Surveillance footage revealed that Sohail arrived at the IGP office and was approached by an Elite Police officer for questioning. In a tragic turn of events, Sohail set himself on fire during the confrontation, resulting in injuries to both himself and the officer. Both individuals were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment under police supervision.

Meanwhile, in Mianwali, a violent clash between the Nazlikhel and Kalo communities led to three deaths and six injuries. The incident, believed to stem from a personal feud, saw the assailants fleeing the scene. The District Police Officer of Mianwali arrived at the site to initiate efforts to apprehend the culprits and provide medical care to the victims.

On a positive note, the Mianwali police successfully apprehended six individuals involved in a triple murder case in Esa Khel. During the operation, illegal weapons were recovered by the raiding team, earning praise from RPO Sargodha Sharuk Kamal Siddiqui for their performance.
