YMCA Hall hosts event honoring nurses and mothers

An event celebrating nurses and mothers was recently held at the YMCA Hall, bringing together leaders from various fields to recognize the invaluable contributions of these individuals. The function, graced by Director General Nursing Tahira Sagir and presided over by Bishop of Lahore Rt Rev Nadeem Kamran, was a heartwarming affair filled with appreciation and gratitude.

During the event, nurses were honored with a shield of recognition, and special Mother’s Day gifts were distributed to commemorate the occasion. Notable guests, including Principal Shaikh Zayed Nursing School, Buhsra Nawaz, and healthcare professionals from esteemed institutions like Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Mayo College of Nursing, added to the significance of the gathering.

Marking the International Day of Nurses and Mother’s Day, the event began with prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the nation. Mr. Asghar Suleman, President of YMCA, welcomed the guests and highlighted the organization's ongoing initiatives. Mr. Emanuel Sarfraz, General Secretary of YMCA, shared insights into new programs designed to enhance the physical and mental development of youth, emphasizing the importance of nurturing talent and potential.

Mr. Sarfraz stressed the significance of honoring mothers, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, and outlined the organization's efforts to empower youth through skill-building programs. Courses in shorthand, beauty, styling, and English are offered to equip students with the tools needed for success in various aspects of life.
