ANF Operations Lead to Major Drug Seizures and Arrests

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recently carried out a series of operations across the country, resulting in the seizure of a significant amount of drugs and the apprehension of several individuals involved in drug trafficking.

One operation at Islamabad Airport uncovered 3.6 kg of ice in the possession of a passenger bound for Bahrain. At Sialkot Airport, authorities found capsules containing 900 grams of heroin inside the stomach of another passenger also heading to Bahrain. In a separate incident at Islamabad Airport, 254 grams of heroin and 200 grams of hashish were confiscated from a traveler en route to Doha. Meanwhile, at Lahore Airport, 300 grams of hashish were intercepted in a parcel destined for Karachi from a cargo office.

Further operations near Motorway Toll Plaza Nankana Sahib led to the interception of a vehicle carrying 146 kg of hashish and 69 kg of opium. Additionally, a parcel sent from a courier office in Quetta to Multan was discovered to contain 15 kg of hashish and 800 grams of ice. Near Wahari in Multan, two individuals were arrested with 5 kg of hashish in their possession.

All individuals apprehended in these operations have been charged under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are currently ongoing to uncover further details about the drug trafficking network.

The successful operations conducted by the ANF have resulted in the significant seizure of drugs and the arrest of individuals involved in illegal drug trafficking activities. These efforts are crucial in combating the spread of drugs and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
