Dr. Imran ul Hassan Khowaja leads Sanghar's monsoon preparedness

Sanghar district in Pakistan is all set to tackle the challenges posed by the upcoming monsoon season with a well-thought-out plan in place. Led by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Imran ul Hassan Khowaja, a comprehensive strategy has been devised to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents during the rainy season.

Key measures include the maintenance of drainage systems, cleaning of rain drains, and the readiness of pumping machines to prevent waterlogging in low-lying and urban areas. The health department is also on high alert, with medical staff and supplies prepared in hospitals, and mobile medical teams ready to respond to areas at risk of rain-related health issues.

To enhance coordination and response efficiency, a District Control Room will be established at the Deputy Commissioner's Office to monitor the situation closely. Additionally, fire brigade vehicles will be on standby, and control rooms will be set up in each taluka to address emergencies promptly.

Furthermore, efforts will be made to prevent heat waves and control mosquito populations post-rains, with municipal and town committees taking charge of mosquito control sprays in affected areas.

The collaborative efforts of district officers, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Saleem Jatoi and SSP Sanghar Aijaz Ahmed Shaikh, along with the support of Captain Abdul Wahab from the Pakistan Army, highlight the commitment of the district administration towards ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
