The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in various regions due to monsoon currents and a westerly wave. Residents are advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has recently released a weather forecast for various regions of the country, predicting rain, wind, and thundershowers with heavy falls. These regions include Kashmir, northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, south Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, central Punjab, and northeast Balochistan. The weather pattern is a result of strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, along with a westerly wave expected to approach on July 04. Over the next 24 hours, hot and very humid conditions are expected across most of the country, with isolated instances of rain, wind, and thundershowers in specific areas.

Recorded rainfall amounts have been reported, with 28mm in Kasur, 07mm in Gujranwala, and varying amounts in other regions. The highest maximum temperatures recorded were 48C in Nokkundi, 47C in Dalbandin, and 46C in several other locations.

It is important for residents in these regions to stay informed about the weather updates and take necessary precautions to stay safe during these weather conditions.
