Recent city operations led by the Administrator and Deputy Commissioner focus on anti-encroachment measures and preparations for the upcoming Eid festival, ensuring order and convenience for residents and traders.
An anti-encroachment operation was recently carried out under the supervision of the Administrator of the Municipal Corporation and the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Revenue. The operation targeted the Khawaja Muhammad Safdar flyover and surrounding roads, resulting in the removal of both temporary and permanent encroachments. Goods placed on the roads by shopkeepers and showrooms were seized, and heavy machinery was utilized for efficient clearance.
During a late-night visit, the additional deputy commissioner inspected the cattle market at Akbarabad Chowk to evaluate the arrangements for sellers and buyers of sacrificial animals. He ensured that the market had uninterrupted streetlights, adequate awnings, water for the cattle, and proper traffic management for the buyers. The market also featured designated parking stands and shelters for the cattle, with no charges imposed on traders or buyers in the lead-up to Eid. Traders and buyers expressed satisfaction with the overall setup.
The recent anti-encroachment operation and the inspection of the cattle market reflect the authorities' commitment to maintaining order and facilitating smooth transactions in the city. Such initiatives not only enhance the urban landscape but also ensure the well-being of both residents and animals during festive seasons.
