Three members of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) tragically lost their lives during a clash with suspected drug traffickers near Turkey toll plaza in Jhelum. The incident unfolded as the ANF officials tried to apprehend the suspects traveling along GT Road. Despite a short pursuit, the smugglers resisted and attempted to escape. The ANF team successfully intercepted them, leading to a gunfight where the suspects opened fire, resulting in the fatalities of Head Constable Gulzar, Lance Naik Mazhar, and a civilian. Two individuals perished at the scene, while another ANF member succumbed to injuries at the District Headquarters Hospital in Jhelum.
