The All Pakistan Car Dealers Association raises concerns over high fees and taxes affecting car trading, urging government intervention to ease financial burdens and enhance the business environment.

The All Pakistan Car Dealers Association (APCDA) has raised concerns over the high duties, taxes, registration, and transfer fees imposed on the sale and purchase of cars, stating that these fees are severely impacting their business operations. Vice Chairman of APCDA, Chaudhary Tariq Kareem, along with General Secretary of Multan district, Abdul Qadir Khan, highlighted the challenges faced by individuals involved in the car trading industry, attributing their worries to the escalating inflation rates.

The exorbitant fees, which encompass duties, taxes, registration, and transfer costs, have surged significantly, leading to a decline in the number of dealers within the profession. The APCDA has called upon the government to address the plight of car dealers by revising the pricing structure and reducing the financial burden on both buyers and sellers. They emphasized the necessity for governmental intervention to enhance the business environment for car sales and purchases, proposing reforms within the excise and taxation department as a potential solution.

The appeal made by the All Pakistan Car Dealers Association sheds light on the pressing need for regulatory adjustments to alleviate the financial strain on car dealers and buyers. By advocating for a reduction in fees and taxes associated with car transactions, the APCDA aims to foster a more conducive marketplace for the automotive industry, ultimately benefiting both businesses and consumers alike.
